GRATITUDE TO KRONACH
Some debts cannot be repaid with money.
They can only be honored with gratitude.
To the people of Kronach,
Your hospitality has been measureless. Your kindness has touched our lives in ways that words can hardly express.
Over the years, this little town has become much more than the place where we built our restaurants. It became a place where we were welcomed, supported, encouraged, and given the opportunity to grow.
WHERE IT BEGAN
It began with a small red container in Kronach, during one of the most uncertain times we had ever known.
We did not know what the future would bring. We simply came to work each day, cooked with everything we had, and hoped that people would give us a chance.
And the people of Kronach did.
Among the people who made those early days possible was our landlord, a truly wonderful human being, and his mother. They treated us with kindness, patience, and trust at a time when those things meant more to us than they could have known.
What began as a simple business arrangement became something we will always remember with gratitude. They gave us more than a place from which to begin. They gave us an opportunity — and they believed in us when we were still trying to find our way.
A COMMUNITY THAT STOOD BESIDE US
Over the years, the people of Kronach have supported us in ways both large and small. Many of those acts of kindness were never announced or expected to be recognized. They were simply given.
We are deeply grateful to the people who came through our doors, supported our food, returned again and again, and told others about us. Some left a few cents, some a few euros, and sometimes more. It was never the amount that mattered. It was what those gestures meant: ”We appreciate what you do. Keep going.”
We are equally grateful to the City of Kronach and its officials, whose willingness to listen and help us find solutions made difficult things easier; to the immigration officers who treated us with kindness and provided help whenever it was needed; and to the neighboring businesses that quietly supported us along the way.
Toombaumarkt allowed us the use of parking spaces without ever asking for anything in return. Lidl Food Market welcomed our customers to use its parking area while collecting their food. These may appear to be small gestures to others, but to us, they were never small.
This is what we will remember about Kronach: people helping people, often quietly, without asking for recognition or anything in return.
For all of it, we are sincerely grateful.
